CHRISTMAS IS HERE AGAIN

Harmattan in Nigeria comes with a nostalgic feeling for me, the cold, dry and hazy weather brings back fond memories of my primary school days at a beautiful city called Kaduna State in

Northern Nigeria. The intensity of the cold and dry weather caused our parents
to dress us up so warmly like Eskimos going to the
Antarctica.

I can almost hear the distant voices of my
classmate singing our beautiful harmattan poem as loudly as only excited
children can;

Harmattan
Naked Trees

Harmattan
Falling Leaves

Harmattan
Cold And Dry

Harmattan
Lazy Sky

Oh! How we love to sing and demonstrate the ‘falling leaves, cold and
dry’ lines like our lives depended on it. Hahahaha, #fondmemories

The hazy weather also ushers in Christmas for us as the streets and
buildings in the great city of Kaduna were not usually covered with colourful
decorations as we have in Lagos and other cities today. The teeth chattering
cold that characterized our morning bath was the major reminder that Christmas
was close, in addition to many other activities that culminated on the
D-Day. You can read more about building a
Christmas tradition for your family here

It is 9 days to Christmas 2017 and my excitement just got hyped
(#carolsmoodactivated),  I am sending you warm Christmas wishes in as
many Nigerian Languages as I possibly can. If I miss out on yours, please
include it in the comment box below.

May the Joy, Love and peace this season brings fill your home and lives,
